This Nairobi property had a 200-litre 'Seven SS Stars' evacuated-tube solar water heater installed on its tiled roof, angled to catch direct sun across the full run of glass collector tubes feeding the insulated tank.

Alongside the roof unit, Elatec fitted an indoor digital controller, giving the household a live readout of tank temperature and simple controls for the system's backup and monitoring functions. Visible on the controller display is a reading of the current stored water temperature.

Together, the roof-mounted collector and indoor controller give the client both the physical solar water heating hardware and a simple way to monitor it day to day, without needing to climb onto the roof to check performance.
