Dual-Tank Solar Water Heater Installation, Kiambu

This Kiambu household's hot water demand called for more capacity than a single tank could comfortably provide, so Elatec installed two separate evacuated-tube solar water heater tanks side by side along the same roof ridge, each with its own full collector array.

The twin-tank layout effectively doubles the system's total storage and heating capacity compared to a standard single-tank install, while keeping both units close enough together to share roof penetration points and simplify the plumbing manifold connecting them into one hot water supply.

With both tanks mounted, connected, and commissioned, the household now draws on a substantially larger solar-heated hot water reserve than a single unit would give, a straightforward way to scale up solar water heating capacity without moving to a bespoke oversized tank.
