300L Solar Water Heater Installation, Kiambu

This Kiambu home needed a larger-capacity solar water heater to serve the household's hot water demand: a 300-litre evacuated-tube system, sized up from the standard 200L residential unit for a bigger family or higher usage.

Elatec's technicians positioned the stainless steel tank and full run of evacuated glass tubes on the tiled roof, connecting the collector array to the tank and running plumbing down to the household's existing hot water line. The photos capture the installation mid-process, with the team fitting and aligning the tank on the roof ridge.

Once commissioned, the system draws on the property's strong rooftop sun exposure (visible in the surrounding open, elevated compound) to heat water for the household without relying on an electric geyser, cutting one of the largest line items on a typical Kenyan household's power bill.
