6kW Solar Backup System Installation, Mumias

This Mumias household wanted a solar backup system sized to run essential household circuits through Kenya's frequent grid outages, without the running cost of a fuel generator.

Elatec installed an SRNE lithium battery energy storage unit paired with a matching SRNE hybrid inverter, wall-mounted together with a Suntree distribution box for clean, centralised system control. Monocrystalline panels were mounted on the home's tiled roof to feed the system, angled for direct sun exposure across the roof pitch.

With the full 6kW system installed and commissioned, the household now has automatic backup power that draws first from solar and battery storage, switching to grid power only when needed, keeping lights, router, and essential appliances running through outages.
