Rooftop Pool Privacy Shade Screen, Nyali

This rooftop pool deck needed privacy screening that wouldn't turn the space into a wind trap or block the view out toward the coast. A solid wall or full enclosure was never on the table; the brief was screening from neighbouring buildings while keeping the open-air feel of a rooftop pool deck intact.

Elatec fitted a dark green HDPE privacy shade net along the deck's steel edge framing, running the full length of the pool-side parapet. The knitted mesh construction blocks direct sightlines into the pool area while still letting air move freely through the weave, essential on an exposed rooftop where airflow keeps the space usable on hot days.

The result is a clean, dark-toned screen that reads as an intentional design feature rather than an add-on, framing the pool and stone-clad parapet wall without closing the space in.
