This Karen property wanted the ability to see and speak to visitors at the gate before granting access, without a household member needing to walk out to the entrance, a common upgrade for larger compounds where the gate sits a distance from the main house.

Elatec fitted a Hikvision outdoor door station, recessed cleanly into the boundary wall finish with a camera, card-swipe icon, microphone, and call button. Indoors, a Hikvision touchscreen monitor was wall-mounted, giving a live colour view of the driveway and gate approach the moment the outdoor button is pressed.

With the system commissioned, whoever answers the indoor monitor can see the visitor and driveway in real time, and unlock the gate directly from the touchscreen. Visible on the monitor display are the unlock and call controls used to grant access without leaving the house.
