Project Overview

This Makindu property's boundary runs through dry, open scrubland typical of the region's semi-arid rangeland: long, straight fence lines with widely spaced acacia and thorn bush rather than dense treeline, calling for strong strain posts to keep the wire taut across extended, uninterrupted runs.

Elatec set timber strain posts at intervals along the boundary, each braced with a diagonal support log and set in a concrete base for stability in the loose red soil. Multiple insulated wire strands run from each strain post to the next, with white insulator fittings visible clamping each wire securely to the post face.

This strain-and-brace post technique is standard for long rural fence runs, distributing the tension load at intervals rather than relying on continuous line posts alone, giving the fence the strength to stay taut across Makindu's open rangeland for years of service.
