Laikipia's large ranch and farm properties call for a different scale of fencing than a residential wall-top retrofit: long, straight boundary runs across open grassland, built to stay taut and effective over hundreds of metres with minimal maintenance.

Elatec installed a run of galvanised steel posts across this property's open farmland, each carrying a full stack of tensioned wire strands from ground level to well above head height. The open, flat terrain allowed for long, consistent post spacing, keeping the wire line straight and evenly tensioned across the full run.

This kind of large-scale freestanding fence is common across Laikipia's ranching and agricultural land, where the fence line needs to hold up against both livestock pressure and wider wildlife movement across open country.
